Electron Microscopy of Nanostructures ELMINA2018 Conference

The scope of ELMINA2018 will be focused on electron microscopy methods applied to nanoscience and nanotechnology (physics, chemistry, materials science, earth and life sciences). It will highlight recent progress in instrumentation, imaging and data analysis, large data set handling, as well as time and environment dependent processes.  The scientific program contains the following topics:

 

  • Instrumentation and New Methods
  • Diffraction and Crystallography
  • HRTEM and Electron Holography
  • Analytical Microscopy (EDS, EELS and APT)
  • Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
  • Life Sciences

Application information

Oral presentations (30 minutes), at ELMINA2018 Conference are BY INVITATION ONLY. Other participants are kindly invited to submit abstracts for poster presentations. Registration must be completed and abstracts submitted by May 18th, 2018 until 5PM CET.  Instructions on the abstract format (A4) can be found HERE.

Conference fee

In order to make the ELMINA2018 conference accessible to as many young researchers as possible, the organizers wave the conference fee for all participants. Online registration will be required for attendance.

Poster Information

Poster presentations

  • We encourage graduate students and young scientists to register and submit abstracts for their posters as soon as possible as the number of available poster presentation slots is limited. Instructions on the poster abstract format (A4) can be found HERE.
  • Poster presentations are scheduled for Monday, August 27th and Tuesday, August 28th at the ground flor hall at Rectorate of the University of Belgrade, Studentski trg 1, Belgrade, Serbia.
  • Poster presentation schedule by session can be viewed in the conference program, found HERE 
  • For Poster Session 1 on Monday, August 27th, presenters must put up their posters before 18:00h and remove them immediately after 20:00h.
  • For Poster Session 2 on Tuesday, August 28th, presenters must put up their posters before 14:00h and remove them immediately after 16:00h.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • No A-V equipment will be provided for ANY poster presentations.
  • Poster presenters must remain at their poster on their assigned day during the required poster session.
  • Each poster will be allocated a 130 cm high and 100 cm wide (130X100) display area.

All abstract submissions will be reviewed according to the following criteria: (a) relevance to a specific symposium, (b) scientific content, quality and innovative proposals, (c) clarity of the text, and (d) compliance with the format. During the conference, the best three (3) posters, selected by a poster award committee, will receive awards. After the closing date for abstract submissions, neither paper content nor author lists will be accessible for corrections.
